These include: Mercedes-Benz Trucks, renowned for their quality, reliability, and innovative features, catering to various industries, from logistics and construction to long-haul transportation. FUSO Trucks, a subsidiary of Daimler, specializes in light and medium-duty trucks, offering practical solutions for urban delivery, short-haul transport, and vocational applications.
We are dedicated to sustainable transportation solutions to provide fuel efficiency, emission reduction and safety across our ranges. We have an opportunity for a Sales Operations Manager waiting just for you. Reporting into the Head of Retail and Fleet Sales, you will be supporting the Daimler Truck UK national field sales operations.
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Dealer Bonus Model: You will serve as the primary UK point of contact for the Dealer Network’s annual Sales Bonus Model, managing and implementing the target-setting logic ensuring alignment with the European Margin Model. This involves overseeing schedules for bonus payments, coordinating timely and accurate disbursement of dealer payments, and maintaining communication with Dealer Development Managers, Sales Leaders, and the Finance department.
- Campaign Management / Reward and Recognition Programmes: As the owner of all truck campaigns, you are responsible for managing every aspect of campaign execution, working with key stakeholders to align each campaign with company objectives.
- Discount Planning & Analysis: This requires close collaboration with the Finance & Controlling teams on a weekly basis to facilitate effective discount tracking.
- Field Sales Team Support and Data Management: Providing daily support to the Daimler Truck UK Ltd field sales teams, producing ad-hoc reports, validating data sets, and contributing to the weekly reporting process.
- Customer Database and Sales Classification Tool Maintenance: Ongoing stewardship of both the Customer Database and the Sales Classification Tool, ensuring data accuracy.
- Franchise Standards and Dealer Performance Reporting: Ownership of the dealer franchise standards and associated reporting, maintaining communication with sales leaders regarding data integrity.
Qualifications:
Industry knowledge of commercial vehicles is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of how manufacturers guide and manage their distributor networks. Advanced computer literacy is required, particularly Excel proficiency. Proven experience in delivering high-quality data analytics, strong numerical and analytical skills, and exceptional accuracy are essential.
This role demands the capability to manage complex queries and technical issues while maintaining excellent stakeholder and customer relationships. Experience in managing manufacturer-level marketing campaigns and competence in financial accounting and reporting is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for building effective working relationships.
A full, clean driving licence is required, as occasional field visits may be necessary. This is a full-time hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days a week in the office based in Milton Keynes.
