We have an opportunity for a Parts Pricing Specialist waiting just for you. Reporting into the Retail & Wholesale Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing parts pricing topics for Daimler Truck UK Ltd collaborating with all stakeholders, covering all replacement parts for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, FUSO Trucks, Special Vehicles (Unimog), Oils and accessories. Manage specialist pricing, ordering and procurement processes for customer fulfilment as required from the supply chain.
More about the role:
- Ensure all parts available to the dealer network are established on the relevant systems, with the UK Retail Price and Dealer Net price set within the defined rules or DTUK market positioning criteria ensuring optimum pricing point for sales growth balanced with margin.
- Manage the margin on parts pricing in line with DTUK, DTAG and market expectations including administration of Bulk Deal and Promotions requests using the defined tools and processes.
- Manage implementation of the parts price file into all required systems, following the relevant processes. Ensure updates are made without error and installed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support IT and lead other project teams with the implementation of system or customer improvements.
- Analyse the competitor analysis provided by DTAG and utilise this information along with other pricing feedback gathered from the other parties such as the dealer network, customers, DTUK Field staff to ensure that parts prices remain competitive but aligned to our value proposition.
- Oversee the pricing element of DTUK’s parts supply chain compliance, ensuring appropriate checks and balances are operational.
- Prepare concise board papers detailing pricing changes including rationale, financial information, analysis and desired outcome to be approved by the business including F&C.
- Monitor and report on parts sales performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and provide further action suggestions to increase sales of all portfolio opportunities.
- Ensure there are up to date process maps and work instructions as well as other guides to support Business Continuity for Parts Pricing.
About you:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, who has a genuine interest in the automotive sector and a passion for delivering excellent customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be confident in developing business cases and able to assess the financial, operational and market implications of pricing proposals, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and sound judgement.
Ideally, you will have an understanding of the commercial vehicle parts market and broader competitive landscape, alongside knowledge of customer service and parts supply chains, including interactions between DTAG, DTUK, dealers and customers. Experience in agency management would be advantageous, as would the ability to produce insightful management reports and recommend actions based on robust commercial logic, with a clear view of expected outcomes and market impact.
You will bring high energy, a proactive mindset and a strong drive to outperform competitors, combined with excellent numerical, analytical, communication and advanced MS Office skills.
