Reporting into the Logistics Operations and Development Manager, you will monitor the day‑to‑day parts logistics operation, reporting performance and customer delivery metrics, and serve as the primary contact between the dealer network and 3PL partner(s). You will monitor and report non‑conformance incidents to DTUK management and work proactively with the 3PL partner to rectify and prevent recurrence using root cause analysis and process improvement techniques. You will manage and produce all periodic reports to support DTUK review meetings with the 3PL partner and support the Logistics Operations Manager in managing the UK market parts logistics centre and Theft Relevant Parts (TRP) topics.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for scheduling and reconciliation of all inbound stock deliveries and facilitate resolutions for inbound transport issues while maintaining clear communication with 3PL partners, central colleagues and external hauliers.
- Organise returns shipments from the parts logistics centre to central locations and ensure all necessary customs and transport paperwork is completed accurately and on time, supporting the UK customs manager in tracking return shipments.
- Coordinate with dealers, contracted partners, and the network development team on the requirements of TRP to ensure compliance with central DTAG TRP policy.
- Support the Logistics Operations Manager (and deputise when absent) in monitoring 3PL performance across all aspects of the parts logistics operation and escalating issues to senior DTUK management as required.
- Produce reports on SLAs, KPIs and 3PL output for DTUK management and finance, using data to proactively suggest changes to improve operational performance and customer service.
- Support, promote and facilitate communication between the dealer network, DTUK colleagues and the 3PL partner using all available tools to promote collaboration and prevent recurrence of issues, ensuring high‑level queries are escalated to DTUK management.
- Manage and monitor the performance of the UK dealer network under the TRP policy, reviewing and amending the policy as necessary in conjunction with central and compliance colleagues.
About you:
You have in‑depth knowledge of warehousing and transport operations within a 3PL environment, confidence in challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement, and a strong understanding of Service Level Agreements and operational KPIs within a fast‑paced logistics setting. You possess excellent reporting skills and can develop new reports that highlight key issues and insights. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Lean methodologies, and dangerous goods management is advantageous, as is an understanding of relevant compliance, legal, regulatory and security requirements. You are proficient in Microsoft Office at least at an intermediate level; a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and/or an NVQ in Warehousing or Logistics Management is desirable. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
