Now, we’re looking for a talented apprentice to join our Internal Communications team within our executive office and help us shape the narratives that drive our business forward.

About the role

As a Communications Apprentice, you’ll support the delivery of clear, accurate and engaging communications across Daimler Truck UK. You’ll work across media activity, internal communications, digital content and stakeholder messaging, helping ensure our audiences stay informed and connected. You’ll also support events - assisting with planning, logistics and content preparation to help every event run smoothly and reflect our brand. A key part of the role involves contributing to continuous improvement across our communication processes and tools. This includes helping streamline workflows, maintaining content systems and supporting enhancements that make our communications more effective. You’ll apply your learning in real business scenarios while completing the Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Apprenticeship, a structured 16‑month programme combining professional training, mentoring and hands‑on experience. Successful completion offers eligibility for PRCA membership.

About you

Firstly, you’ll bring a genuine interest in communications and storytelling, with the ability to write clearly and adapt your tone for different audiences and formats. Competent using digital tools, you’re organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. You will also need GCSE Level 4/Grade C in Maths and English Language (or equivalent). Just as importantly, you’re proactive, curious and excited to learn about our brand, our team and the world of Trucks. You enjoy working collaboratively, building strong relationships and engaging confidently with different stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner. You’re keen to develop your knowledge of best‑practice communications, and you recognise the importance of transparent, ethical and inclusive messaging.
