We have a great opportunity for a HR Integration Manager to join our team for a two-year period. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will lead the people, process and systems workstreams required to integrate our soon to be acquired UK Own Retail business(es) into Daimler Truck UK and Daimler Truck AG. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth transition into our operating model. Working closely with M&A, Own Retail, and the Daimler Truck UK teams, this role will coordinate HR activities, data, governance, and change management to enable a seamless and compliant end-to-end integration.
More about the role:
- Track integration risks, issues, and dependencies, providing clear updates, escalation, and decision support to project governance forums.
- Manage workforce transition activities, including onboarding, TUPE (where applicable), contract issuance, and initial employee lifecycle processes post Day 1.
- Partner with project sponsors, including the Head of HR, Own Retail, M&A, and the wider Transformation team to scope, plan and deliver all HR elements of the acquisition and transition.
- Oversee HR due diligence, providing insight into people risks, HR costs, culture, and integration challenges. Ensure HR data migration accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal, security, and privacy standards.
- Work with Own Retail and HR teams to coordinate organisational design, including role mapping, capability assessment, reporting line alignment, and designing the target state structure.
- Lead change management, communications and engagement plan to ensure smooth transitions for employees and leaders, ensuring alignment with HR and Transformation workstreams.
- Manage end-to-end TUPE transfer processes or collective/individual consultation activities (where applicable), ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements. Prepare supporting documentation, scripts, employee FAQs, and communication packs.
- Advise leaders and managers on statutory obligations, timelines, risks, and people impacts associated with organisational change.
- Ensure integration of HR systems and interfaces (HCM, payroll, talent management, benefit platforms) in collaboration with Daimler Truck AG and UK HRIS and IT teams.
- Assess and map HR processes, policies, and terms and conditions during integration, identifying differences and proposing aligned, compliant solutions. Support harmonisation of employment terms, policies, handbooks, and HR governance frameworks.
- Provide expert HR integration advice to senior leaders and project stakeholders, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.
- Monitor post integration stability, capturing lessons learned and embedding improvements into future acquisition playbooks.
About you:
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and functional HR expertise, with a solid background across core HR processes including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and talent management. You will have in-depth experience of TUPE, employee transfers processes, and statutory consultation requirements, with a proven ability to manage both collective and individual consultation processes during organisational change.
You will have hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally Oracle HCM, including system integrations, data migration, and supporting new HR technology implementations. An understanding of UK employment legislation and HR compliance is essential.
This role requires proven project and change management capability, including managing end to end HR integration or transformation projects, supporting due diligence activities, and developing project plans, timelines, and risk logs. Strong skills in change communication, stakeholder engagement, training coordination, and impact assessment are key.
You will be confident analysing complex HR data sets, identifying trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement, with strong proficiency in Excel and HR analytics tools.
Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional partners such as IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations. You should be able to translate technical detail into clear, business focused recommendations and help shape integration roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy.
We are looking for someone highly organised, detail oriented, and adaptable, with strong problem solving abilities and the resilience to thrive in a fast paced environment. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required. CIPD Level 5 or 7 is strongly preferred, and project management or HR technology certifications would be an advantage.
