You will utilise your creativity to design strategies that stop audiences from scrolling and create truly engaging news content that is accessible, entertaining and relevant to the platforms people use every day.
You will be a confident editorial voice who challenges and educates others on the best use of video, pitches exciting and original ideas daily, and manages multiple workflows and requests in a fast‑paced environment. The role will involve both leading from behind the camera and presenting or filming content yourself where required. You will be responsible for ensuring video content is optimised to drive engagement and audience growth, using analytics tools, competitor analysis and platform trends to inform editorial and creative decisions. This is a hybrid role working 3–4 days per week from our Canary Wharf hub. The role will require weekend work and potentially flexible hours during the week, which will be discussed at interview stage.

- You will have advanced knowledge of social‑media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and X, and have the ability to shape original content to meet relevant video KPIs, support editing longer‑form videos into social formats, upload and distribute video content, and ensure all output adheres to editorial guidelines and legal and copyright standards.
- A strong understanding of UK media law, editorial tone, accuracy and the confidence to make sound publishing decisions under pressure is essential.
