We’re looking to hire an experienced Social Media Manager to run our DailyMailUK and ThisIsMoney Instagram and TikTok accounts day-to-day, turning news and money stories into high-performing social content. This is a hands-on role focused on posting, packaging and scaling content. We want someone who understands what works on social media, has grown accounts before, and can consistently deliver reach, engagement and followers.
Main Responsibilities
- Run daily output
- Publish across Instagram and TikTok - Reels, TikToks, carousels and statics
- Package stories for social
- Turn news and money stories into scroll-stopping posts with strong hooks and clear angles
- Drive growth
- Focus on followers, reach and engagement - and improve performance over time.
- Move fast
- React to breaking news, trends and viral moments.
- Know what works on each format and platform - and adjust accordingly.
- Use data and report on performance
- Track analytics, report on performance and identify what’s working - then double down on it.
Person Specification
- Proven experience growing Instagram and/or TikTok accounts
- Strong understanding of viral content - hooks, formats, pacing
- Experience creating Reels, TikToks, carousels and static posts
- Understands platform algorithms and audience behaviour
- Comfortable analysing and reporting on performance data
- Fast, reactive and comfortable in a high-output environment
- Journalism background not required
