This is a hybrid creative‑technical role ideal for someone with fast instincts, strong editorial judgment, and deep platform fluency. You’ll play a central role in shaping our most important output – editing stories that break through the noise across verticals including news, showbiz, money, health, and travel.
Main Responsibilities
- Edit standout short‑form and long‑form video content optimised for social (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube etc.)
- Craft fast‑paced, visually rich edits using kinetic text, memes, archival footage, and mixed media
- Collaborate with producers, writers, and on‑screen talent to shape strong visual narratives
- Enhance stories with music, sound design, and motion graphics – ensuring a premium finish
- Help define the visual identity of new vertical brands, working closely with design and animation teams
- Maintain fast turnarounds without sacrificing quality – adapting quickly to news moments and viral trends
- Stay on top of editing trends, platform shifts, and performance data to continuously optimise content
Person Specification
- 3–5+ years of editing experience in a digital media or social‑first content environment
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro; proficiency in After Effects, CapCut, or similar motion tools a plus
- Deep understanding of what performs on social – from hook to final frame
- Strong editorial instincts, with experience across multiple content genres (news, showbiz, creator‑led)
- Fast, flexible, and collaborative – able to work under pressure and iterate quickly with feedback
- Clear grasp of storytelling through text, voiceover, music, and visual rhythm
