Account Executive (First Sales Hire for our Ads Business)
Weβre looking for our first account executive to join daily.dev and fully own our sales process β from demand generation to closing deals.
Youβll be helping brands reach one of the most engaged developer audiences in the world through native advertising on our platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who wants to build a sales engine from scratch. Learn more about our business.
Basic Details:
Job Title: Account Executive
Scope: Full-time, fully remote, with the availability to travel abroad up to 3 times a year.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential advertisers (developer tooling companies, open-source companies, platforms, agencies, etc.)
- Generate demand via email, LinkedIn, and other lead generation channels to initiate conversations
- Conduct sales calls, understand advertiser goals, and pitch relevant ad solutions
- Guide leads through onboarding and close deals
- Manage our CRM and develop repeatable sales processes
- Experiment, learn, and improve β as we build from scratch, your input is valuable
Ideal Candidate:
- 1-2 years of experience in ad sales, preferably in tech, dev tools, or media
- Experience working with the US market
- Strong communication skills β confident on calls and sharp in writing
- Independent and proactive attitude β you take initiative
- Tech-savvy β enjoy experimenting with new tools, using AI or automation to improve efficiency
- Comfortable selling to marketers, founders, or PPC teams
- Fluent in English and experienced in remote work environments
Bonus: Experience selling sponsorships, native ads, or developer-focused offerings.
