Manager, Systems Engineering and Product Architecture

What you will do:

• Lead and manage a team of systems engineers and product architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Define system-level architecture, requirements, and specifications to meet business and customer needs.
• Ensure end-to-end system integration and performance optimization across hardware and software.
• Collaborate with product management to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Drive system design reviews, technical assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Maintain alignment between system architecture and product roadmap to ensure scalability and future-proofing.
• Implement best practices in system engineering, model-based design, and architectural frameworks.
• Work cross-functionally with software, hardware, and quality teams to ensure timely and successful product development.
• Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities for team members.
• Oversee documentation, standards compliance, and technical reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, product architecture, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience in a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of system design, integration, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in system modeling, simulation, and requirements management tools.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and cross-functional team coordination.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in industries such as HVAC, aerospace, automotive, appliances, etc.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards relevant to system design.
• Certification in systems engineering (INCOSE CSEP, ESEP) or related fields desirable.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $115,300 - $144,300 (plus 15% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
