To operate a number of different engineering manufacturing machines in our production department and to provide general operational support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To receive and check materials for production.
- To set machine in accordance with requirements.
- To operate a range of engineering manufacturing machinery.
- To check and ensure the quality of product is to standard.
- To complete records and documentation as required.
- To maintain good housekeeping standards.
- To report any concerns to the Team Leader.
- To ensure an effective handover to following shifts where appropriate.
- To work flexibly as part of the manufacturing team and to support other team members as required.
- In all activities, to comply with quality, health & safety and environmental rules and policies.
As a term of your employment, you may be required to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post and department mentioned above or in a comparable post in any of the Company’s other departments.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of milling, turning or any other engineering machinery operation.
- The ability to use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Experience of producing a detailed quality product.
- The ability to meet high standards on a consistent basis.
- A self-motivated and focused attitude.
- The ability to work flexibly within the team and to support team members.
- The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
