Project Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of biomethane-to-grid projects in the UK. This is a full-time role based in Staffordshire, with flexible working encouraged where project demands allow. The role welcomes applications from recent graduates to experienced professionals. The successful candidate will be supported to take ownership of projects from initial customer contact through quotation, design, delivery, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support biomethane-to-grid projects from concept to commissioning
- Manage engineering and project delivery activities
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Support procurement activities, including ordering material, managing vendor relationships and tracking budgets
- Interpret and mark-up technical drawings and documentation
- Support with project documentation and planning, including design submittals, progress reports, and schedule
- Support site installation and commissioning activities/arrangements
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Other duties as required
Person Specification / Qualifications
- Motivated, adaptable, and proactive
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working across the full project lifecycle
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Technically capable and confident in engineering environments
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in project engineering and planning
- Familiarity with the green energy sector (biogas/biomethane a plus)
- Comfortable speaking with clients and stakeholders
- Computer literate and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience with Project Management tools is a plus
Additional Information
- UK-based role with occasional international travel
- Occasional travel to UK suppliers and customer sites expected
- Must be located in commuting distance of Staffordshire and will be expected to be in the office, however, flexible working arrangements will be available
