Dahlia Recruitment Renewables are delighted to be partnered with this rapidly growing Renewable Energy business to recruit for an experienced Project Director. The role will require regular travel to head office in Oxfordshire and other sites on an ad hoc basis.
The Project Director is a key member of the company executive leadership team, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the UK infrastructure projects. The Project Director leads project execution from pre-final Investment Decision (FID) through to construction, commissioning and operations handover, ensuring each project is investor-ready, technically sound and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role is pivotal in converting the company's mature project pipeline into operational low-carbon hydrogen production assets, as the business continues to scale nationally and internationally. The Project Director ensures alignment across engineering, delivery, commercial and operational teams to maintain the company's position at the forefront of the UK hydrogen transition.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 10+ years' experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or energy projects from pre-FID to operations.
- Demonstrated success in project structuring, engineering, contract negotiation and execution.
- Experience building project delivery frameworks and managing high-performing delivery teams.
- Strong familiarity with UK permitting, regulatory regimes, HSE standards and government funding structures.
- Degree in engineering, project management or related discipline, chartered or PMP status preferred.
- Experience in hydrogen, renewables or gas infrastructure.
- Exposure to Contracts for Difference (CfD), Hydrogen Allocation Rounds (HAR1) or similar subsidy-backed funding mechanisms is desirable.
- Background in PE-backed businesses or joint ventures is desirable.
