Daffodil Support Services Ltd is a family-run business based in Tewkesbury, supporting vulnerable and disabled individuals across Gloucestershire.
Founded by Managing Director Vicki Hawker, who progressed from care assistant to management, the company was created to improve both client care and staff support.
The team assists people with everyday tasks such as household duties, shopping, meals, and medication, as well as personal assistant activities like managing correspondence, decluttering, and arranging appointments.
Staff also help individuals access the community, pursue hobbies, and reduce loneliness, adapting services as needed to meet changing circumstances.
Role Description:
The Community Support Worker will provide remote, person-centred support to individuals in the community, helping them manage daily living tasks and maintain independence.
This role involves working in line with individually agreed preplanned goals and targets, maintaining regular communication with clients, and assisting with activities such as scheduling appointments, organizing household tasks, and accessing local resources and services.
The support worker will help clients engage in social and recreational activities, combat isolation barriers, and problem-solve practical challenges.
Responsibilities also include accurate record-keeping, reporting any concerns, collaborating with other professionals when needed, and following all safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines.

Essential Personal Qualities:
- A thoughtful and caring nature.
Good
- Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
Ability to work remotely, independently, and to manage time effectively.
- Confident to use basic digital tools (email, online forms, communication platforms).
- No criminal record offences that would prevent working with vulnerable individuals.
- A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexibility to pick up additional visits outside of agreed hours occasionally if required.
Desired knowledge and experience:
(not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Relevant training or qualifications in social care, health, or community work
- Experience in building trust and providing compassionate, person-centred assistance.
- Understanding of Community Health concepts and local resources to help clients access appropriate support.
- Experience in social care, community services, or support work is highly beneficial.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries when working with vulnerable individuals.
- A good knowledge of the Gloucestershire area or the willingness to learn about new areas.

- An hourly pay rate dependent upon your qualifications
