Motus Commercials, located in Grimsby, is seeking a dedicated DAF Workshop Controller to join our friendly team, providing exceptional service to our customers. The position involves working:
5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 4:00 pm

As a Workshop Controller in Grimsby, you will be expected to demonstrate:
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to motivate and inspire your team to exceed targets
- Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers
- Previous motor trade experience
- A methodical work approach
- Ability to perform under pressure
It would be advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge of Kerridge systems
Main duties include:
- Managing a team of Commercial Vehicle Technicians, Workshop Supervisors, and Apprentices
- Collaborating with the Service Manager and administration support
- Leading by example and promoting company values
- Coordinating with Service Advisors to plan daily workshop activities
- Monitoring KPIs such as utilisation, productivity, and idle time
- Enhancing relationships between service reception, workshop supervisors, and controllers
- Developing long-term customer and franchise partner relationships
- Reviewing, coaching, and developing the service team, including training and appraisals
- Ensuring MOT pass rates meet or exceed benchmarks
- Staying updated with manufacturer bulletins and relaying information promptly
- Handling customer queries
