We have an exciting opportunity for a Truck Sales Executive to join the team at North West Trucks and manage and expand sales at our Huyton site.

Additional duties may be required to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sell new trucks within a designated postcode area, increasing NWT and DAF retail penetration in line with company and manufacturer targets.
  2. Meet or exceed gross profit contribution targets from truck and service sales.
  3. Develop and manage relationships with new and existing retail accounts.
  4. Ensure all vehicles and services are delivered according to legal, contractual, manufacturer, and customer specifications.
  5. Comply with UK sales laws and best practices, including vehicle sales, financial products, and customer contracts.
  6. Stay updated on UK legislation, consumer rights, data protection, and health and safety regulations.
  7. Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
  8. Produce accurate customer quotes using DAF systems like IST and TOPEC.
  9. Attend all required DAF Dealer Sales Training sessions.
  10. Maintain valid HGV Licence (if held), CPC certification, and Digital Tachograph Card, with up-to-date training.
  11. Develop product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends through DAF E-Campus and other training.
  12. Participate in marketing and promotional activities, including events during evenings or weekends.
  13. Ensure compliance with UK sales regulations, FCA guidelines, and transparent pricing.
  14. Conduct sales ethically, providing customers with accurate vehicle and service information.
  15. Maintain the company vehicle and report issues to the Sales Manager.
  16. Use Voyager CRM to manage customer relationships and sales activities efficiently.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience in sales, preferably in trucks or commercial vehicles; DAF sales experience is a plus.
  2. Strong understanding of the truck market, customer needs, and UK sales laws.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering tailored solutions and excellent service.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  6. Valid UK Driver\’s License (HGV license, CPC, and Tachograph Card are desirable).
  7. Familiarity with DAF systems (IST, TOPEC) and CRM tools like Voyager is advantageous.
  8. Maintain a professional appearance and high standards of cleanliness.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
