Sales Executive Trainee – Portsmouth/Southampton

We’re now looking for a Sales Executive Trainee to join our team – an exciting opportunity to start your career in automotive sales with one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle networks.

As a Sales Executive Trainee, you’ll be working closely with our experienced sales team to develop your skills in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minute lunch (unpaid).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team in promoting and selling new and used DAF trucks and other commercial vehicles.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers.
• Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and vehicle handovers.
• Maintain accurate records using our CRM and sales systems.
• Learn about vehicle specifications, financing options, and aftersales services.
• Deliver excellent customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards one) preferred.
