Adams Morey is looking for a skilled and motivated DAFaid / Workshop HGV Technician to join our Salisbury team, with an exciting move to a brand‑new site in Andover planned in the near future. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of workshop‑based repairs and roadside assistance work, providing first‑class support to our customers and keeping commercial vehicles operating safely and efficiently.
Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, plus call outs when on rota, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid) with two 15 minute paid breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to commercial vehicles and trailers.
- Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Providing roadside assistance and recovery support through the DAFaid service.
- Completing inspections, MOT preparation, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintaining accurate job records and paperwork.
- Delivering excellent customer service both in the workshop and on‑site.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Workshop Technician.
- Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- A full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable, but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and commitment to high standards of workmanship.
