Are you passionate about trucks and engineering? Looking for a hands-on career where no two days are the same? We’re now recruiting for our 2026 DAF Apprentice HGV Technician Programme— and this could be the start of something big!
As a DAF Apprentice HGV Technician, you will be trained to the highest standards in a mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience at our fully equipped workshop. You\’ll gain the skills to diagnose, repair, and service DAF heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), while working alongside experienced technicians and mentors.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
Key Responsibilities
This is an entry level role offering on-the-job training which is supported by the official DAF apprenticeship training programme. This programme is a three-year IMI Level 3 diploma in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, managed by Skillnet who are DAF’s appointed training management agent.
