Adams Morey’s Bridgwater site is looking for a reliable and professional HGV Driver to join our team. We’re a busy and supportive depot, dedicated to delivering great service to our customers across the region.
You will be responsible for the collection and delivery of customers vehicles therefore a HGV Class 1 Licence is essential. You will be supporting the site with movement of vehicles and assisting the technicians with Ad-Hoc duties to aid productivity of technicians and liaising with customer upon collection/delivery ensuring excellent customer service at all times. You will be responsible for presenting vehicles for MOT so some mechanical understanding/experience is essential for this role in order to maintain a 100% first time pass rate.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch (unpaid).
Responsibilities
- Collection and delivery of HGV vehicles to and from customers and suppliers.
- Movement of vehicles between sites and for MOTs or inspections.
- Conducting basic vehicle checks before and after use.
- Assisting the service and parts departments with logistics needs.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Mechanical commercial vehicle knowledge/experience is essential.
- Knowledge of DVSA defects and road safety.
- Team Player.
- Ability to plan ahead effectively and prioritise.
- HGV Class1 Licence.
