Greenhous DAF Birmingham is looking for a skilled and motivated Night HGV Technician to join our dedicated after‑hours workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market‑leading brand in a professional, well‑equipped environment. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.
Working Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 7.45 pm to 6.15 am, i.e. 42 hours per week, 20 minutes paid break
Salary: OTE £50,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with DAF and DVSA standards.
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Work independently during night shifts while maintaining high productivity.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience working on HGVs (DAF experience advantageous but not essential)
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work confidently on night shifts with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
