Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for your next opportunity with a leading commercial vehicle dealership? Greenhous DAF Tamworth is looking for a skilled and motivated technician to join our growing workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs.
  • Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair and replace vehicle components as required.
  • Complete all work in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
  • Accurately complete job cards and service records.
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Other duties may be required to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Relevant qualifications in heavy vehicle maintenance, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • A positive attitude and strong team ethic.

Working Hours

  • Rotating shifts: 06:00 am to 03:30 pm (45 hours per week, 30‑minute lunch unpaid)
  • 09:00 am to 06:30 pm (45 hours per week, 30‑minute lunch unpaid)
  • Saturday shifts on a rotational basis (every other weekend).
