We are seeking a qualified Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer to oversee and enforce safety, health, and environmental standards across project sites. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Management & Compliance
    • Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems across project sites
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant WSH regulations and statutory requirements
    • Review, update, and communicate safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Site Inspections & Risk Management
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
    • Lead and review risk assessments (RA) and safe work procedures (SWP) for all activities
    • Ensure proper safety measures are implemented for all work equipment and operations
  • Incident Management
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports
    • Recommend and follow through on corrective and preventive actions
    • Maintain accurate records of all incidents and safety-related documentation
  • Training & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Ensure all workers comply with mandatory WSH training and certification requirements
    • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs
    • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive initiatives to improve workplace safety standards and culture
    • Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
    • Monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects (e.g., LTA projects)
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM Singapore
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and compliance requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities
