The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain core backend services that power business-critical systems.

You will work on distributed systems at scale, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product, platform, and infrastructure teams.

This role is suitable for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, care about system reliability and performance, and want to build systems that last.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in production environments.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of backend features, from technical design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Participate in system architecture discussions, including scalability, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
  • Optimize existing systems for throughput, latency, stability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.
  • Support production systems and participate in incident analysis when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Backend Engineer working on production systems.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, Python, or C++.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, data consistency, and fault tolerance.
  • Experience with databases (e. g. My SQL, Postgre SQL, No SQL) and message queues and streaming systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native environments, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a mindset of ownership and responsibility.
