Job Description
We are looking for a Lettings & Property Manager to join our Harrogate-based team.
This is a varied and rewarding role where youll play a key part in delivering an exceptional service to both landlords and tenants, managing properties from initial instruction through to tenancy and beyond.
Based in Harrogate, youll cover a great local area with a varied portfolio of properties.
Its a role where you can build strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors, while getting to know your properties and the local market really well.
The Role
- Youll oversee the full lettings and property management lifecycle, including:
- Conducting market appraisals and advising landlords on pricing, marketing and lettings legislation.
- Managing properties from instruction through to tenancy commencement.
- Completing tenant referencing, Right to Rent checks, tenancy agreements and compliance documentation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for landlords and tenants, providing a professional and responsive service.
- Managing day-to-day maintenance, coordinating contractors and ensuring repairs are dealt with efficiently.
- Carrying out property inspections, inventories and check-in/check-out processes.
- Managing deposit deductions and tenancy-related queries.
- Overseeing essential compliance including gas, electrical, fire safety, EPCs, smoke and CO alarms and other statutory requirements.
- Supporting rent collection, arrears and debtor management alongside the Accounts team.
- Maintaining accurate records and keeping up to date with changes in property and lettings legislation.
- Preparing reports and providing support across the wider team when required.
About You
Were looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident dealing with people.
Youll ideally have experience within lettings, property management or a similar customer-focused property role, together with a good understanding of compliance and residential tenancy requirements.
Youll be a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of service.
