An opportunity has arisen within Environmental Services for a Waste Services Supervisor. You will provide a high-quality front-line specialist service focusing on safety and compliance. You will assist in maintaining and ensuring the regular scheduled collections of waste from the Borough of Dacorum in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
You will be required to successfully manage frontline staff in all aspects of the tasks given to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard ensuring an excellent customer service is provided. You must work in collaboration with other services, and senior management to ensure that services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the Council’s aims and objectives.
The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
Applicant must have a Full LGV 2 vocational licence that is valid in the UK.
Applicant must hold a current COTC in Waste management.
