Based in Hemel Hempstead, Dacorum Borough Council is looking for a leader to define, articulate and communicate key messages to a wide range of audiences: our residents, partners, and staff. You will lead a portfolio that includes communications, consultation, and events, ensuring effective two-way communication is central to all that we do.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in communications, media, and reputation management who can bring a planned, campaign-led approach to our communication strategy while recognising the need to be responsive within a fast-moving political environment.
You’ll promote key programmes, including the Hemel Place Strategy and Hemel Garden Communities, which together will deliver 11,000 new homes and 10,000 jobs in our community. Ongoing internal communication with staff will be more important than ever due to Local Government Reform reshaping our sector.
