At The Old Town Hall, we bring the magic of the arts to the heart of Hemel Hempstead’s historic Old Town. Our stage hosts professional work across all genres, alongside a variety of private hires and community events. We are looking for a dedicated Events Assistant who understands that a world‑class performance starts with a world‑class environment. While this role is part of our vibrant theatre team, it is primarily focused on cleaning and porterage services. You will be the silent hero ensuring our venue is pristine, safe, and ready for every guest and performer who walks through our doors.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, physically active role that requires someone with an eye for detail and a pride in their work. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high‑quality cleaning services across all areas of the theatre.
  • Managing porterage duties to ensure the venue remains organised and functional.
  • Executing the physical set‑up and breakdown of spaces, which includes lifting and moving equipment and supplies.
  • Working flexibly across a schedule that includes early mornings, evenings and weekends to support our diverse programme.
