DACI Utilities Engineering Consultancy Limited is one of the fastest-growing engineering consultancies in the UK, supporting major infrastructure and energy projects across the country and internationally. With a collaborative, people-first approach, we combine technical expertise with a strong focus on quality and delivery. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Manchester office and are looking for a Design Engineer – Utilities (Electricity, Gas and Water) to join our team.

Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver electricity, gas, and water designs for tender submissions.
  • Produce detailed utility designs and submit them to relevant distribution network operators for domestic, commercial, and industrial developments.
  • Coordinate directly with project engineers to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Provide daily updates on project progress.
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Fluent English (essential), as all work is carried out for UK-based clients.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with Outlook.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.

Desired (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of Revit.
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D.
