Purpose Of the Role: To support all Transit Terminal (TT) operations while working collaboratively within a team environment. The role requires a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take direction to develop key skills and contribute effectively to daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Operate handheld scanning devices to accurately track freight
- Support Short Distance (SD) drivers with loading and unloading activities
- Follow all manual handling and health & safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment (general housekeeping)
- Collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient operations
- Learn core terminal processes through practical, hands-on training
- Progress to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training upon meeting key competencies
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and compliance briefings
