Purpose Of the Role: To support the UK & IRE HR Manager in the development and administration of a professional and integrated HR strategy and plan that meets the business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, supporting a wide range of people matters in line with company policies and employment legislation.
- Support employee relations activities, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and wellbeing cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Coordinate payroll processes, collating and submitting accurate information within agreed deadlines and responding to payroll-related queries where required.
- Maintain employee records and HR administration, ensuring all documentation is accurate, secure, and compliant with GDPR and company policies.
- Manage the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and providing a positive employee experience from day one.
- Produce HR reports, people data, and KPI information to support business decision-making and workforce planning.
- Manage training records and support the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development activities across the business.
- Build strong relationships with managers and colleagues across all departments, providing a professional, proactive, and customer-focused HR service.
- Support the Regional HR Manager UK & Ireland with HR projects, policy development, people initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work independently, taking ownership of key HR processes while contributing to the success of the wider HR team and supporting business objectives.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent HR experience gained within a generalist HR environment).
- A resilient and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate challenging situations effectively.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
- The confidence and self-motivation to work independently, while also collaborating effectively as part of a wider team.
- Proven experience managing a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and conflict resolution cases.
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and support stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and work effectively across different functions and departments.
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and its practical application in the workplace.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
