To support the branch in operating an effective Domestic outbound operation in response to customer requests and network standards in a cost effective and efficient manner. To maximise profit whilst not compromising quality and service by providing effective solutions to FTL, LTL and groupage requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure shipment administration meets internal, external, and Dachser compliance requirements.
- Support domestic outbound freight planning for groupage and LTL/FTL across all shifts.
- Coordinate loading to meet customer requirements and departmental KPIs.
- Monitor outbound operations using Dachser tools such as Domino, the Outbound Planning Tool, and the Charter Tool.
- Meet all designated departmental KPIs.
- Manage cost accruals and process purchase invoices.
- Process long-distance collection orders accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with departments in Northampton, across the UK, and within the Dachser network.
- Manage suppliers to control costs and maintain consistent service.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain company quality standards.
- Maximise profit opportunities without reducing service quality.
- Respond to customer requests for charter and groupage services with efficient, cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database with cost-effective options.
- Ensure all reporting procedures and paperwork are accurate and handled efficiently.
- Administer vehicle dispatch and prepare required documents, including CMRs, loading lists, hazardous paperwork, and customs documents.
