Purpose Of the Role:

To support the efficient and cost-effective operation of European export activities by responding to customer requirements and meeting network standards. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable service while maximising profitability through effective solutions to groupage and export logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and process delivery notes
  • Process collection orders (part and full loads)
  • Manage EDI takeover activities
  • Prepare and dispatch trunk vehicles and one-way export trailers
  • Route consignments to maximise trailer utilisation
  • Process customs envelopes
  • Conduct dangerous goods compatibility checks
  • Plan and process customer EDI data (advice notes, collections, forwarding orders, hazardous and customs requirements)
  • Monitor customer compliance with export documentation
  • Provide guidance on DACHSER customs documentation and support with customs-related issues
  • Complete Brexit-related administrative tasks, including Government Gateway entries
  • Maintain strong communication with internal departments (export customer service, warehouse, transport, customs, sales) and with UK and European branches

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • At least two years experience in European road freight operations
  • Strong knowledge of European geography
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Confidence using standard computer applications
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing operational needs
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Customs knowledge (desirable but not essential)
