Purpose Of the Role:
To oversee and coordinate the activities of the Central Order Management team, ensuring the smooth processing of customer orders, adherence to internal standards, and delivery of a high level of service. The role combines technical oversight of operational processes with team coordination and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical and disciplinary management of the Central Order Management team
- Development, training, and coaching of team members to achieve high performance
- Coordination and optimisation of service workflows and order processing procedures
- Monitoring and analysis of runtime statistics and quality KPIs
- Liaising with internal departments and external clients to resolve issues and improve service
- Attending customer meetings and supporting key client relationships
- Driving conflict resolution across order management processes and between sites
- Ensuring compliance with internal service level agreements and process standards
- Maintaining clear communication within the team and with stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices
The Ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in logistics or order management
- Proven experience in team coordination or supervisory roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage customer and internal relationships
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset
- The ability to analyse performance data and act accordingly
- Experience in managing sickness notifications, conducting interviews, issuing warnings, and granting leave
- Confidence in making hiring recommendations and supporting staff development
