Who you are
Graduates with no legal work experience but have undertaken either a legal degree and/or LPC (or similar); OR Paralegals with 0-1+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally with EL/PL experience. However, we are happy to consider candidates with alternative backgrounds such as Claimant, motor, disease, pre-litigated Defendant work, clinical negligence, profin etc. Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload, meet conflicting demands and has a strong work ethic. Able to produce work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and concern for quality of service. Someone who is enthusiastic about joining a well-established and highly thought of Casualty Injury (EL/PL) team and who can see themselves building a future with DAC Beachcroft. Eager to collaborate and build lasting relationships with colleagues, becoming an integral part of a growing team.
What you will do
- Efficient Case Management: Proactively manage your own caseload of predominantly litigated fast track matters to ensure deadlines are met and cases are concluded efficiently.
- Training: Embrace the training provided and the support given to all new starters to assist in your legal development, the litigation process and with handling litigated claims more generally.
- Clear Case Strategy: With support where needed.
- Engage with Clients: Engage with clients and support business development plans to maximize opportunities to meet and build rapport, always acting as an ambassador of the firm.
- Build internal network: Work collaboratively with other teams ensuring you build your internal network of contacts.
