About the role

As a Legal Secretary, you’ll act as a trusted partner to your lawyers – helping to manage workflows, anticipate needs, and ensure that everything runs efficiently behind the scenes. You’ll work both independently and as part of a wider team, supporting colleagues across different practice areas and building strong working relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact – keeping work moving and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Manage inboxes, prioritise communications, and draft responses where appropriate
  • Prepare and produce high‑quality documents, correspondence and reports
  • Support document production, including digital dictation and formatting
  • Organise case files, maintain accurate records and manage document systems
  • Coordinate meetings, diaries and travel arrangements
  • Prepare and maintain document bundles and case‑related materials
  • Build strong relationships with lawyers, clients and internal teams
  • Support client‑related activity, including reports, events and communications
  • Ensure client protocols and service standards are consistently met
  • Assist with billing processes, expense submissions and financial administration
  • Support WIP management, disbursements and finance queries
  • Help to maintain accurate records and reporting where required
  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide support across teams when needed
  • Contribute to a high‑performing, responsive team environment
  • Handle confidential information with care and work within compliance frameworks

Working pattern: Full‑time, hybrid working

Level: Suitable for candidates with prior Legal Secretary or comparable professional services experience
