Overview
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Solicitor / Paralegal to join our Corporate Insurance and Risk (CIR) team handling a mixture of EL and PL Casualty claims, predominantly for large blueāchip corporate clients. The role is fullātime and nationwide, with work conducted from 12 UK locations across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
What you will do
- Manage a varied caseload of EL and PL claims, including preālitigated fastātrack and litigated cases, ensuring continuity for corporate clients.
- Provide a timely, professional and highāquality service to corporate clients in the management of injury cases.
- Handle EL and PL work with commercial awareness and an appropriate level of supervision.
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients, demonstrating knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.
- Identify opportunities and deliver creative, bespoke legal solutions to support client challenges.
- Support marketing and business development activity within CIR (attend marketing events, deliver client training, clinics, meetings and entertainment activities).
- Build awareness of DAC Beachcroft's other services and develop effective internal and external networks.
- Maintain an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans, handle confidential information in line with data security protocols, and comply with internal and external service level agreements.
- Record timely and accurate management information, meet individual performance measures, and take potential future supervision and management responsibilities into account.

- Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of influencing and building longālasting relationships.
- Experience dealing with corporate clients, including representing the business at meetings and entertaining clients where necessary.
- Commercial skills ā recognise and develop legitimate commercial opportunities.
- Commercial perspective rather than an academic approach to legal issues.
- Analytical skills ā critically review factual evidence, identify key legal arguments, and apply them.
- IT skills ā IT literate with good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Prioritisation & organisation skills ā organise own time, recognise time pressure, and ask for help when needed.
- Resilience ā stand ground in telephone negotiations and receive feedback.
- Knowledge of social media ā effectively market the CIR brand and offering.
- Demonstrates alignment with the firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
Required experience
- EL/PL litigation experience and assessing quantum on multiātrack claims experience ā must.
- Comprehensive understanding and significant experience of EL/PL claims.
- Open to Solicitors, CILEx, Barristers and generalist experienced Paralegals if experience is right for the role.
