Overview
DAC Beachcroft is looking to recruit a Group Tax Accountant to join our Finance Team, based from any of our UK offices. You will support the Head of Tax with UK and international compliance, including corporate, partnership and VAT returns, HMRC accounts and payments, and wider international tax administration. The role also offers the chance to contribute to key projects, governance improvements and strategic tax advice across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of UK Corporate & UK Partnership Tax Returns
- Monitoring S455
- Preparation of the Tax Note for inclusion on the Statutory Accounts
- Maintenance of new AI costings software for the main UK LLP
- Preparation of Singapore Partnership Return (Form P)
- Management of HMRC accounts and payments for the UK Corporates & UK VAT Group. Including assisting with any cash flow/budgeting figures.
- Preparation of the UK Group VAT Return, Dublin VAT Return, Annual Return of Trade, EC Sales List and Singapore GST Returns
- VAT return preparation tasks will include partial exemption and capital good scheme calculations, along with monthly maintenance of ICB invoices
- Calculation and submission of error correction forms
- Weekly review of Medusa billing – checking VAT treatment of invoices
- Responding to all VAT queries from billing teams/partners
- Collating information for international compliance – Dublin partnership, French Personal Tax Returns, 720 Forms, Miami Returns
- Overseeing international tax admin for example US payrolling and HK tax compliance
- Responsible for applying for certificates of residence and management of W8 forms, including answering any related queries
- Assisting with reserves and taxable allocation calculations
- Involved with projects such as: Business Risk Reviews, Governance Improvements and Group Structure Advice
- Managing tax compliance and internal deadlines independently and maintaining the Group Tax Team calendar/tasks list
- Keeping up to date with legislation changes and feeding these back to the Head of Tax
- Advising on BIK/PSA queries, and providing a list of benefits to include on PSA calculations
- Managing tax software – Digita, OneSource and ROS
- Communicating with HMRC on enquiries/reconciliations

- Qualified in Tax (with accounting qualification desirable but not essential)
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and dealing with grey areas
- Pragmatic approach – not overly rigid or rule-bound
