Overview

Department: Business Services – Clients and Markets

Location: Bristol

The Graphic Designer will work alongside the Senior Designer/Design Lead and Midweight Designer, collaborating with the team, whilst owning their own projects from brief to production. It is a versatile role working on a range of assets from different teams across the firm, such as Marketing, Bids, BD and others. The Graphic Designer will need to be confident in presenting and communicating ideas to the Senior Designer/Design Lead and Midweight Designer and other stakeholders within the firm. The Graphic Designer will work closely with a variety of colleagues in order to create design assets and collateral. Asset production includes illustrations, branding, digital and print. This role reports into the Senior Designer/Design Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce digital design and creative solutions to address our marketing, bids, business development and brand needs.
  • Design original assets, including interactive documents, illustrations and icons.
  • Ensure high quality brand standards are met, maintaining brand consistency throughout all our design projects whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Manage a pipeline of their own work using Monday.com software.
  • Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software.
  • Generate ideas to continue to expand the production of assets.
  • Design and produce new assets which can be used across the design team and wider C&M function.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and brief, whilst ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, and supporting both the Senior Designer/Design Lead and Midweight Designer.
  • Where necessary, work directly with creative agencies to provide guidance and assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools.

  • Actively operates in the best interests of the firm at all times internally and externally.
  • Operates in a regulated environment, effectively managing risk and compliance issues including data security.
  • Works in partnership with others to manage and mitigate commercial risk.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.
  • Able to manage a pipeline of work whilst working to deadline.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Portfolio of completed design projects.
  • Experience working on design projects from conception to production, including digital design, documentation, icons, logos, brochures.
  • Hands-on advanced experience with image editing software, such as Photoshop.
  • Experience in iconography and general illustration development.
  • Ability to quality control own work and review own work.
  • Able to work collaboratively, using a range of tools in a hybrid working environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to push beyond the expected.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud & PowerPoint).
  • Aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts using design best practice.
  • Attention to visual details and an understanding of information design.
