Overview

In this role you will lead the firm’s legal directories and rankings programme to enhance market reputation and support growth. You will collaborate with senior partners and cross-functional teams to shape submission strategies and showcase DAC Beachcroft’s expertise. You will drive innovation and process improvement, including tech-enabled solutions, to strengthen the firm’s profile in directories like Chambers and Legal 500. This is a high-visibility, strategic position within the Clients & Markets function with a strong impact on recognition and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of the legal directories and rankings programme (Chambers, Legal 500 and others)
  • Develop submission strategies, planning cycles and governance across the firm
  • Draft, edit and refine high-quality submissions highlighting expertise and client outcomes
  • Collaborate with lawyers and business services to identify key matters, referees and evidence
  • Manage submission timelines and stakeholder engagement to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Analyze rankings outcomes, researcher feedback and competitor activity to inform improvements
  • Produce reports and recommendations to support future submission strategies
  • Leverage submissions for awards and profile-raising initiatives
  • Act as subject matter expert on legal directories and rankings
  • Advise partners on submission strategy, researcher engagement and interview prep
  • Collaborate with BD, Marketing, Communications and Clients & Markets to maximise value of rankings
  • Ensure firm profiles across directory platforms are accurate and aligned with priorities
  • Maintain and enhance tracking systems, reporting tools and submission processes
  • Explore tech-enabled solutions to support delivery and reporting

Key requirements

  • Experience managing legal directory submissions (Chambers and Legal 500) in a law firm or professional services
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills for client-focused content
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, including influencing senior leaders
  • Experience analysing rankings performance and market intelligence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high-quality delivery
  • Confidence with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools
  • Proactive, self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities
