Our dynamic Vehicle Hire and Damage team is looking for a qualified Solicitor to join us in our Glasgow office. You’ll work on a wide range of Credit Hire cases – from Simple Procedure to Ordinary Cause – including complex and fraud‑related matters. Alongside this, you will collaborate with colleagues across the business by getting involved in cases covering liability, indemnity and associated losses including personal injury, credit repair and diminution.

What you will do?
- Take on a key client‑facing role, acting as a point of contact for Scottish claims and showcasing your growing expertise and confidence.
- Get involved in marketing and business development activities, including attending industry events, supporting client training sessions, and participating in clinics and shadowing days.
- Manage your own varied caseload of litigated matters, including credit hire, damage, fraud, and injury claims, working towards agreed performance targets.
- Stay aligned with the firm’s strategic goals and contribute to the continued success of the team.
- Keep your technical skills sharp through regular training, learning opportunities, and up‑to‑date legal reading.
- Handle confidential information professionally and in line with the firm’s strong data security standards.
- Attend court hearings when required, developing your advocacy skills along the way.
- Achieve your personal financial and performance targets, playing an important role in the success of the wider team and business.
Who you are
- A qualified Solicitor who has demonstrable experience in managing a varied caseload in the Scottish courts.
- Credit Hire / Motor Litigation experience; you may also have experience in Personal Injury, Insurance Fraud or Dispute Resolution – Credit Hire experience is our preference however we are open to conversations to those with a mix of experience.
- Be highly organised and a confident negotiator and communicator with an outstanding eye for detail.
- Have excellent relationship and client handling skills. Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues.
- Be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self‑sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
- Be proactive with a tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving problems.
- Have an ability to adopt a commercial perspective.
- Demonstrate alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
