Join Our Dynamic Casualty Injury Team! Due to continued growth driven by strong client relationships and recent client wins, DAC Beachcroft's Casualty Injury team is on the lookout for an experienced paralegal. Our Casualty Injury team focuses on employers' liability and public liability claims, with claims valued up to £100k. This is your chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team (with full and supportive training provided), handling a diverse range of EL/PL claims and making a real impact.
By joining our team, you will have the chance to develop your technical expertise in EL/PL personal injury claims, understand the litigation process, enhance your time management skills, and build valuable legal connections. What you will do?
- Ensuring claims are progressed proactively and efficiently to conclusion.
- Embracing the training provided and the support given to all new starters to assist in your legal development, the litigation process and with handling litigated claims more generally.
- With support where needed, devising clear case strategies, balancing the commercial interests of both the firm and the client.
- Ensuring work meets client needs, firm’s commercial requirements, and quality standards.
- Working collaboratively with other teams and ensuring that you build your internal network of contacts.
- Applying current technical expertise and case law to each claim whilst also maintaining and developing technical knowledge through training sessions and reading relevant publications.
- Engaging with clients and support business development plans to maximize opportunities to meet and build rapport, always acting as an ambassador of the firm.
Who you are
- 0-5 years’ experience in a Paralegal or similar role in an EL/PL environment with experience in Multi Track or Fast Track Claims.
- A high level of personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
- Good legal knowledge relevant to their area of expertise.
- Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload and meet conflicting demands.
- An ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues.
- High standard of written and oral communication skills.
- Confident negotiator.
- Able to produce work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and concern for quality of service.
- Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
- Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
