Billing Assistant – 12 Month FTC

Description
What you will do?
- Responsibility for the billing of specific service lines / clients
- Liaising and building excellent working relationships with all levels
- Understanding the billing and data requirements to ensure effective and accurate billing
- Sourcing and adding missing data to ensure accurate billing
- Prompt query resolution, raising credit notes and reversals
- Processing high volumes of invoices
- Preparing excel bordereaux bill schedules and accompanying bill documents
- Updating matter data
- Investigating errors on billing guides to ensure overall compliance with client billing protocols, VAT charges and billing templates.
- Handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols.
Who you are
- Professional, self-motivated and positive, able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a finance function gained in professional services, preferably a law firm
- Confident manner and personal impact to command the respect of partners
- Flexible
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work unsupervised and on one\’s own initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Highly PC literate with strong systems skills, particularly in Excel, Ideally in 3E and Paperless (or similar).
- Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT for law firms billing
- Ebilling portals and experience
