This role is to work as part of the Portfolio Management team, which is a well-established national team of junior fee-earners supporting our national Real Estate group. Our Real Estate group covers all aspects of commercial real estate including development, investment, asset management, funding, construction, landlord and tenant, planning and environmental issues, and dispute resolution. Clients include property management and development companies, health trusts, government bodies (local and central), owner-occupiers, and institutions both in the UK and overseas. The team has a proven record in paralegal progression. We value our Portfolio Management team as an incubation hub for future talent. In the last 12 months alone, four former paralegals have qualified as solicitors with support from professional development funding and mentoring from within the team and wider group.
Key Responsibilities
- The Paralegal role is varied, working across the national Real Estate group but primarily serving telecoms operator clients.
- You will have the opportunity to manage your own files and interact directly with clients.
- Your work will include preparing title and lease reports, drafting and negotiating leases, agreements, and deeds, as well as assisting fee earners on various client matters and providing general support.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Excellent academic record, including a 2.1 degree or higher.
- A genuine interest in law and property.
- Experience in Commercial Property is not essential but advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), capable of producing high-standard work.
- Confidence in building relationships with clients (internal and external) and third-party contacts at all levels.
- Flexible, organized, self-motivated team player capable of working collaboratively to achieve goals.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
