Reporting to the Finance Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will join a team of officers who undertake a variety of tasks including:
- Conducting internal auditing on financial transactions and matter files to identify breaches or potential breaches of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Generating reports to help identify breaches or potential breaches of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Liaising with external auditors and regulators as required.
- Coordinating and sending emails for actions around client balances, including collating reports, identifying deadlines, reviewing matters, updating notes, and communicating required actions.
- Assisting with clearing residual balances, involving reconciliation work, searches, liaising with fee earners, contacting clients, and completing charity applications.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- Experience in Legal accounts is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Self-motivation, determination, and confidence.
- Meticulous attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of legal terminology is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
