Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with strong expertise in modern cloud-native technologies to join our team within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent technical capabilities, and the ability to work full-time onsite from our Bournemouth office. This role requires someone who can contribute effectively to complex technical solutions while adhering to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Design and implement microservices using Java, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services.
• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB to build scalable and high-performing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Apply secure coding practices and adhere to banking industry compliance standards.
• Ensure timely delivery of development tasks while maintaining high-quality output.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in code quality, development processes, and team performance.

Requirements

• 8–15 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer.
• Strong expertise in Java, Kubernetes, AWS, and NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB).
• Proven experience working in the banking domain.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerized application development.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite 5 days a week in Bournemouth (must relocate or be within a commutable distance).
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and secure coding principles.
