Our modern platform is built on top of a modern stack consisting of Kotlin/JVM for the back end interacting with other Java/JVM services internally, and a React based front end.
We reach out to many APIs internally and externally to create and service our insurance policies and claims.
We are in a period of expansion, growth, and renewal, and thus we are looking for members to join the team to help us.
Responsibilities
- As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of your software from inception to production, working on a mixture of green-field and brown-field projects, learning from, and contributing to your peer group.
- Participate in code review and design of systems from members of all levels.
- Collaborate within the group and across customer to design and integrate functionality and features.
- Partner with our Product Management team to refine functionality and features.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Fundamental strength in computer science with a demonstrable understanding of computational complexity and data structures.
- Understanding of service-based architectures
- Understanding of web applications and use APIs to power them
- Proven experience with live applications and production environments

- Full stack experience and willingness to dive into other levels of web applications
- Applied statistics skills: distributions, statistical testing, regression analysis
- Cloud management and deployment β A strong background in different cloud platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Open Stack Apache, and Google Cloud Platform
- Databases β A familiarity of working with different databases such as Postgres, My SQL, No SQL (e. g., Mongo DB), Redis is recommended.
- Web frameworks β knowledge and experience working with different frameworks like React Native, Angular JS, Angular2, Vue JS, Socket IO, Backbone, Knockout JS, Svelte, and Bootstrap.
- Software testing tools β A good working knowledge in testing code using Mocha, Jest, Unit-tests, TDD, Karma, VCS, and Selenium (base).
