Overall Purpose of Role
The successful Business Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of all elements of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to operating model definition and implementation with the Business.
Key Accountabilities
- Define & produce functional and non-functional requirements
- Provide requirements to various application groups to build required changes
- Work closely with Business, Change, and Architecture teams
- Manage stakeholder relationships between demand (business) and suppliers (IT) around constraints and limitations of solutions
- Build methods for testing solutions against requirements (e.g., user cases, test scenarios)
- Support users in executing acceptance testing
- Assist Project Manager with managing workstream scope
- Work with stakeholders to identify, document, and implement new operating model changes/processes
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Potentially line manage individuals, including Performance Management, Interim and Annual Reviews, Personal and Professional Development
- Provide leadership and coaching to ensure alignment to Corporate Technology goals and culture
- Rigorously discharge HR policies (Performance Development, Equality & Diversity, Disciplinary & Grievance)
- Act as role model for delivery and behaviour
- Demonstrate commitment to personal/professional development of team members
- Mentor and coach colleagues and clients
Decision-Making & Problem Solving
- Champion DDLA delivery methods adopted by Corporate Technology
- Support project management in defining projects and producing viability assessments
- Actively contribute to project aims and objectives through business analysis
- Manage specific project business analysis workstreams to meet targets
- Effective management and reporting of time against project plan
- Regular progress reporting to Project Manager
- Ensure business analysis delivery meets quality, time, and budget requirements
- Conduct business analyst interviews, facilitate joint requirements planning sessions
- Provide data analysis and scenario modelling
- Objective analysis of SME output
- Analytical support to project management and leadership team
Risk & Control Objective
Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies/standards.
