Who Will You Work With:
You\’ll be working with a forward-thinking organization that is undergoing a critical digital transformation. This role places you within a highly collaborative IT infrastructure team focused on modernizing data center operations through cloud migration strategies, specifically leveraging AWS technologies.
About the Role:
As a Cloud Migration Expert , you will play a central role in planning, designing, and executing the migration of legacy systems, applications, and infrastructure from a traditional data center setup to AWS Cloud. The role is hybrid, requiring days onsite per week in London , and is initially for months with strong potential for extension .
This is a high-impact role where you will lead the migration process, ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption, and optimize cloud environments post-migration.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess existing data center infrastructure and plan end-to-end migration to AWS Cloud.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and minimal downtime.
Execute migration of applications, data, and infrastructure securely and efficiently.
Monitor and tune the performance of cloud-based systems to meet business SLAs.
Document all steps and resolutions during the migration for future reference and improvements.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services and data center operations.
Expertise in cloud migration planning and execution .
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell .
Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or similar certification) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and other containerization tools.
Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
Solid understanding of network architectures , load balancing, and firewall configuration.
Exposure to SQL and NoSQL database migrations .
Awareness of cloud security best practices .
Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch , Datadog .
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation .
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies .
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
