An established and highly respected Health & Safety consultancy is seeking a motivated and ambitious Health & Safety Advisor to join its growing team. Supporting a strong portfolio of long-standing clients including major UK housebuilders and construction contractors, you will play a key role in delivering practical, site-based health and safety support across residential and commercial developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HSE professional looking to develop within a business that actively mentors, invests in, and promotes from within.
You will provide hands-on health and safety support across multiple construction sites, including:
- Conducting regular site inspections (typically 2 visits per month per site)
- Supporting pre-start and pre-tender stages
- Carrying out ongoing compliance inspections on active developments
- Providing practical HSE advice to site teams and management
- Assisting with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Undertaking occasional security and safety reviews on existing/older buildings
The role will involve travel across the Midlands region, with occasional travel further afield depending on client requirements.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Driven, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Early in their HSE career, with 1–5 years’ experience
- Comfortable working in a site-based construction environment
- A strong communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Flexible in approach and open to development and mentoring
Experience & Qualifications:
- Background in construction (ideally housing / residential developments)
- Minimum: IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) and NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
